Getting to Samburu
Samburu is about 320 km north of Nairobi, a six to seven hour drive on the A2 through Nanyuki and Isiolo, or roughly a 90-minute flight from Wilson Airport into one of the reserve airstrips.

The Samburu Special Five
The reserves are famous for five dry-country species found here and almost nowhere else in Kenya: the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and beisa oryx, alongside big elephant herds and good leopard sightings along the river.
