Getting to Amboseli
Amboseli is about 240 km from Nairobi, a four-hour drive on the Nairobi-Mombasa road (A104) turning south at Emali, or a 45-minute flight from Wilson Airport into the park airstrip. Most lodges sit inside or just outside the park near the airstrips marked on the map.

Best time to visit Amboseli
The dry months of June to October and January to February give the clearest Kilimanjaro views and the easiest elephant viewing around the swamps. The wet months are green and quiet, with the mountain often hidden by cloud.
