The drive from Nairobi

It is about 240 km and around four hours. You take the A104 Nairobi-Mombasa road to Emali, then turn south on a tarmac-then-murram road to the Meshanani or Kimana gate. The last stretch is dusty but the Kilimanjaro views build the whole way in.
