Four days is exactly enough time to do the Masai Mara properly and add a second park without rushing. We give you two full nights in the Mara. That means three game drives and a real chance to see the Big Five, not just to tick a list but to actually sit with a pride at a kill or watch a cheetah chase play out across the plains. On Day 3 we drive to Lake Nakuru, one of East Africa's most spectacular sights. The lakeshore turns pink with flamingos, sometimes hundreds of thousands of them, and the park protects both white and black rhinos, making it one of the best places in Kenya to spot these increasingly rare animals. Lions climb the escarpment here too, and leopards lurk in the yellow-barked acacias. Everything is covered: accommodation, meals, park fees, all game drives, and your transfers from any Nairobi hotel.
That means you can relax from the moment you land—your airport pickup, all in-park transport, and even those early morning and sunset drives are included. You’ll have two nights’ stay in carefully selected lodges or tented camps, plus a comfortable day room before evening departures if you need it. We include every meal from the first lunch through to your final breakfast, and all excursions are guided by a professional TrunkTrails driver-guide who knows every trick for epic wildlife viewing. No hidden costs, no surprise add-ons—just a seamless, all-inclusive safari experience.
Meals Included
Throughout your adventure, you’re well-fed from the moment you arrive until it's time to bid farewell to Kenya.
During the main safari, all your meals are taken care of—breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included each day, so you can focus on spotting wildlife rather than planning where to eat. This applies not just while you’re out and about on game drives, but also when you’re relaxing at your lodge or camp.
If you choose to extend your journey with the Amboseli add-on, you’ll continue to enjoy the same level of attention to your appetite. Expect breakfasts to kickstart your days, hearty lunches to fuel your adventures, and delicious dinners to round off your evenings. Even on your final day, you’ll have access to a day room and a farewell meal before your transfer to the airport—no sad airport sandwiches required.
In short:
- Main tour: All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners each day
- Amboseli extension: Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including meals on arrival and departure days
You won’t go hungry—we’ve taken care of every bite.
Cultural Encounters Along the Way
This safari isn’t just about wildlife, either—it’s a chance to meet the communities who call these landscapes home. In the Masai Mara, you’ll have the opportunity to visit a traditional Maasai boma. Step inside the ochre-colored huts, watch warrior dancing, and gain firsthand insight into age-old customs, beading, and Maasai cattle culture. The Maasai’s striking dress, warm hospitality, and storytelling enliven the experience, offering a window into a way of life rooted in harmony with the savannah.
Similarly, if your route ever wanders northward (think Samburu territory), you’ll meet the equally proud Samburu people—cousins to the Maasai, famous for their beadwork, elaborate ornamentation, and semi-nomadic lifestyle. These cultural visits are always authentic and low-key—nothing touristy or contrived—giving you the real story of Kenya’s heartlands right alongside your quest for rhinos, cheetahs, and the Big Five.
Conservation Encounters
This itinerary doesn’t just offer epic wildlife moments—it puts conservation front and center. Your journey includes a guided visit to the world-famous Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you’ll meet rescued baby elephants and rhinos. Watch as dedicated keepers nurture these orphans and learn how their team reintegrates rescued animals back into the wild, helping safeguard Kenya’s most vulnerable giants for generations to come.
You'll also stop at Nairobi’s celebrated Giraffe Centre, where endangered Rothschild’s giraffes roam within arm’s reach. This pioneering center does more than delight visitors; it leads educational efforts for local youth and champions the protection of one of Africa’s rarest giraffe species. It's a real chance to see Kenya’s conservation success stories up close.

All your Amboseli National Park entry fees, three guided game drives, seamless transport for every excursion, and an airport transfer (if you’re leaving on the recommended flight) are included, too.
Rates for the extension are straightforward:

Travel Insurance: Peace of Mind for Your Safari
While we take care of every detail on safari, we highly recommend arranging comprehensive travel insurance before you depart. Unexpected events—whether travel delays, medical emergencies, or those rare surprises nature likes to spring—are much easier to handle with a good policy in place.
Consider options from reliable providers such as World Nomads, Allianz Global Assistance, or Travel Guard. Look for coverage that includes:
- Medical expenses and evacuation
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Lost or delayed baggage
- Personal liability
Getting a quote is quick and easy online. We’re happy to answer questions about what’s typically needed for Kenya, or point you toward trusted insurers if you’d like recommendations. Prepare ahead, relax, and enjoy every wild moment.
