Travelers short on time often fly into Voi or Tsavo West’s airstrips instead, cutting the transfer to about an hour by charter.
The two halves connect, but not quickly. Tsavo East and Tsavo West link through the Tsavo Gate crossing near Mtito Andei. Moving between them still takes real time given the distances involved, so most itineraries plan it as a deliberate transfer day rather than a quick hop.
